  • The Monthly Meeting of the Security SIG

    Main Presentation

Credit-card thieves are getting more sophisticated, and the credit-card industry is fighting back. VISA, MasterCard, and other associations have unified behind a new security standard, and are requiring merchants to validate their compliance with it by June 30th, 2005. Penalties for non-compliance can be up to $500,000. We'll discuss who's covered, what's required, and how to validate compliance.
