About the Presenter
Vladimir Chernavsky is Chief Executive Officer of Kaspersky Lab Customized Solutions, Inc. (KLCS) based in Pleasanton, California. KLCS is a technology Marketing and Sales subsidiary of Kaspersky Lab, an international information security company headquartered in Moscow, Russia - one of the top four anti-virus software companies in the world.
Mr. Chernavsky is a computer software pioneer on the cutting-edge of technology in the development of anti-virus and data-integrity-control software. Mr. Chernavsky possesses broad knowledge of international networking and marketing, of the software distribution industry, and of ecommerce through his eight years of experience in the industry and extensive academic training.
In 1990, Mr. Chernavsky studied at the Moscow business school, "Manvik." He pursued further studies at the Moscow State Institute of Economic and Statistics and in 1998, received a Master's Degree in Marketing Management. Preceding his employment with Kaspersky Lab, Mr. Chernavsky worked in Moscow, Russia, as the Marketing Director of a Russian software company MacroProject, and as the Marketing Manager at Sunrise-Soft. At Sunrise-Soft, Mr. Chernavsky was responsible for marketing research, pricing, budgeting and public relations.
