    Presentation Overview

HIPAA Healthcare Privacy and Security Compliance

HIPAA is The Health Information Portability and Accountability Act of 1996, and is Federal Law. It covers virtually all healthcare information and healthcare providers, including hospitals, doctors, pharmacies, clinics, health plans, billing services, certain employer health plans, and other health-related organizations.

With the April 2003 HIPAA Privacy deadline upon us, and the Security deadline approaching, IT professionals need to understand how this law impacts them and the networks they are responsible for. In this event you will learn about real-world HIPAA compliance from Security Pros that are "in the trenches." You will also learn about HIPAA compliance tools and how to use wireless devices in a "HIPAA environment."
