    Kolbjorn (Kully) Nelson, U.S. & Foreign Commercial Service -- San Francisco Office

    Kully Nelson is an international trade specialist with the U.S. & Foreign Commercial Service, U.S. Department of Commerce, San FranciscoExportAssistanceCenter. Kully has been with the Department of Commerce's San Francisco office since July 2007 and covers the digital media sector. During this time he has assisted 52 different Bay Area digital media firms successfully export their products and services overseas. He first joined the Foreign Commercial Service as an intern at the U.S. Embassy Beijing in 2006 and has also completed a temporary duty assignment at the U.S. Consulate Guangzhou in 2008. 

    Prior to working for the Department of Commerce, Kully worked at Goldman Sachs in Hong Kong and taught English for Beijing New Oriental & Technology Group in Yangzhou, China for two years. He received an MA in international economics & finance from the BrandeisInternationalBusinessSchool, a BA from SaintOlafCollege, and has studied abroad at Beijing's University of International Business & Economics, The University of Ghana, and The University of Havana. Kully speaks fluent Mandarin and also has 9 years of training in French.

    Chris Damm, International Trade Specialist, U.S. & Foreign Commercial Service

    Chris Damm is the Acting Director of the MontereyBayExportAssistanceCenter and has served as a Trade Specialist at the San JoseExportAssistanceCenter for the last 10 years. (Simultaneous positions). Chris has directly helped 422 MontereyBay and Silicon Valley companies make over $602,545,228.00 in verifiable export sales. During his time with the Commercial Service, Chris has also completed several limited duty assignments abroad, filling temporary Foreign Service Officer vacancies at several U.S. Embassies and Consulates including: China (5 assignments), South Africa, Taiwan and Malaysia. In recognition of his outstanding client work and service to the USDOC , in 2006 Chris was the first ever recipient of the prestigious "Timothy J. Hauser" Memorial Award, the highest monetary award given by the U.S. Department of Commerce. In 1999 Chris was a co-recipient of the meritorious "Hammer Award", issued by then Vice President Al Gore. Chris speaks Mandarin Chinese and has a Political Science / International Relations degree from the University of California Santa Barbara. Chris has studied abroad at KawerauCollege in New Zealand, the StanfordCenter at the NationalTaiwanUniversity in Taipei, Taiwan and was a visiting scholar at QinghuaUniversity in Beijing, China.
