Mobile is changing the way people shop today and it bridges the gap between the online and offline shopping experience. Checking the inventory in the nearby stores, comparing the prices anywhere anytime, interacting with sales representative on mobile, paying with mobile phones, accepting and redeeming mobile coupons, posting reviews after store visit with mobile, managing mobile loyalty cards are all new applications of mobile commerce.
Considering the limited bandwidth we have during our gathering, we are covering the following aspects of mobile commerce on Nov 3rd:
• Mobile Marketing
Alistair Goodman, Chief Executive Officer, Placecast
Alistair Goodman has a passion for helping to build successful organizations and brings to Placecast over 20 years of experience working in sales, marketing and product development efforts for both media and traditional companies. Most recently, Alistair was Vice President of Strategic Marketing at Exponential Interactive, an online media services and technology company whose flagship brand - the Tribal Fusion ad network - grew to be one of the largest privately-held digital media companies in the US during his time there.
Prior to joining Exponential, he was a founder and Senior Vice President for Sales and Marketing at Impli, a San Francisco-based digital media company which was acquired by PRN. Earlier in his career, he worked first on Wall Street and then as a management consultant for both CSC Index and Corven UK Ltd, helping large organizations with process reengineering and the implementation of growth strategies. Alistair holds a BA from Haverford College, an MBA from the J.L. Kellogg School of Management and was a Henry Luce scholar in Asia from 1993-94. He is a frequent speaker at online advertising industry conferences, and regularly teaches the basics of online advertising for Paragon Media.

Jason Madhosingh, Director, Mobile & Online, American Express
Jason (although everyone calls him "Madho") leads the Developer Product and Community for Serve, American Express digital payments platform. Prior to American Express, he held various product and brand marketing roles at Nokia, Disney, Omnicom, ElectricArtists, (a boutique agency), and Capitol Records. He lives in Brooklyn with his wife, soccer ball, 3 bikes and skateboard.
• Mobile Retail
Johann Huber-Gutierrez, Strategy & Product Development, Macy’s & Bloomingdale’s
Johann is a pioneer in cross-platform marketing and commerce, with global experience spanning Europe, Asia, and the USA. He has been a key contributor to the mobile and cross-channel strategies of Macy’s and Bloomingdale’s, worked on mobile applications and mobile web initiatives for macys.com and bloomingdales.com, introduced QR code scanning technologies to enable and support cross-channel marketing and multi-channel commerce across the enterprise and cross-channel media serving platforms.
Previously, he worked with companies such as GetJar.com, the world’s largest open platform app store, on mobile application management, monetization, and marketing.
As a VP of Mobile Strategy and Partnerships at Evryx Technologies (Shalink in Japan, SnapNow in UK) he created the first multi-modal mobile search application, combining text, audio recognition, and visual recognition/scanning technologies into a unified search platform. He also played a leading applications of companies such as Buy.com, Barnes & Noble, and other major brands in Japan and Europe.
