This discussion will focus on how new developments in wireless technology are enabling businesses to interact with their customers through targeted promotions, content exchange, commerce and messaging to deliver customized, localized news and information. Wireless applications are often actionable and allow for a 2-way interaction to take place between source and end user, with service providers as the intermediary, directing traffic appropriately and enabling a transaction to occur. Mr. Horstmann will discuss how this new level of personalized messaging is establishing another layer of business development between service providers, developers, small to medium size business owners and carriers. Mr. Spaulding will talk about the benefits of email-based payments and on P2P as the ideal way to build momentum in mcommerce.
