Linda Ford, Optima Consulting
Dr. Linda Ford is the president and founder of Optima Consulting, Inc. Optima, founded in 1991, is dedicated to enhancing the competitive position of technology companies by developing powerful executive leadership teams through both organizational development and individual development for executives. Before founding Optima, Linda spent 7 years at Tandem Computers in marketing, product management, and as staff to the CEO on corporate culture and values. Prior to that, she was with Digital Equipment Corporation for 7 years in training, field sales and regional management.
In 1992, Linda earned her PhD in Human and Organization Systems from the Fielding Institute. In her 10 years of consulting work, Dr. Ford has played a key role in the development of software start-ups including Presidio, Active Software, and Scriptics. She has also been instrumental in driving key business changes at large companies, including Sun Microsystems, Silicon Graphics, Sugen, and Xilinx. Her contribution to the development of the software community in Silicon Valley has most recently been played out as advisor to both SDForum and the SVASE board of directors.
