Emerging Tech SIG: Rich Client Trilogy

  • The Monthly Meeting of the Emerging Technology SIG

    Presentation Overview

The Rich Client Trilogy will conclude in February with John Kucera from Asperon. We began in December with General Interface talking about the potential of Javascript and DHTML, followed that with a talk by Laszlo in January, and now we're wrapping things up with Asperon. Three talks, three different technologies, one message: rich internet applications are an important trend and we're on it like white on rice (and, like all good trilogies, there'll be a fourth chapter. Cause SVG is starting to break out of it's adobe sandbox and things like http://www.xml.com/pub/a/2004/08/18/sacre.html are too tantalizing to ignore completely).

Next month, we'll have the folks from Bitpass in to give an overview of micropayments, both taking a historical perspective and talking about current trends (and, don't worry, if you're an SDForum member, we won't charge you a tenth of a cent to attend).
