WS SIG (SV): Using WS to Build an Adaptive Infrastructure
Robert Shear, Blue Titan Software
The benefit of using Web services to integrate applications is clear - easier development and lower operational costs through application reuse and repurposing. Forward thinking organizations are gaining additional value by using Web services as a common framework for coordinating and controlling enterprise IT resources. This talk will discuss how Web services can be used to expose and reuse key infrastructure functions across multiple applications and how this results in a more adaptive application infrastructure. Key topics covered will include the business value of a shared infrastructure, how Web services fit in, and an outline of a rational implementation roadmap. Several examples will be given from the Blue Titan customer base.
