Topic: A Night with Thomvest
Most VC funds have raised money from various pension funds and operate accordingly, but not all of them – and tonight you will hear from one such special fund – Thomvest. Here is their description of the fund and its differentiation:
The capital we invest is our own. This enables us to be more creative, flexible and patient than most venture investors. Over the last decade we’ve funded 39 start-ups and collaborated with some of the best and brightest entrepreneurs to create world-class companies: 70% of the start-ups we’ve invested in have either gone public, been acquired, or continue to grow as independent businesses. www.thomvest.com
Come learn from those at Thomvest how they view investing in these “interesting” times, what makes for a compelling pitch and how they work with entrepreneurs to help them succeed in the marketplace.
Note: We will accept 5 companies doing 2 minute pitches with some brief feedback, so if you are interested in pitching, please submit your executive summary to email@example.com and we will notify you if you are selected to present.
COMPANIES THAT WANT TO PRESENT MUST BE REGISTERED BEFORE WE REACH OUR LIMIT ON THE NUMBER OF ATTENDEES.
