Next month's workshop will be a formal pitch meeting, where 8-10 entrepreneurs will present their startup plans to a panel of investors and other audience attendees. If you are interested in presenting, please email email@example.com and give a brief description of your startup or startup concept.

Ok, so you just walked into an elevator with John Doerr, and he pushes the button for the 17th floor. For the next 30 seconds, you've got him all to yourself. He looks around at you and nods, smiles briefly. You clear your throat... and what do you say?
Next you step into Buck's for breakfast, and Tim Draper is all by himself at a table for two. He looks up, sees the Stanford pullover you're wearing, the portable under your arm with the penguin sticker, and says "ok, you've got 5 minutes... show me your presentation. if you're half as smart as you look, you can pitch again at our office next week for 15 minutes. Go."
When your moment in the spotlight arrives, you should be prepared to tell your story - and make it concise, compelling, and complete. A good pitch and solid, straightforward presentation could be the difference between a seed or first round investment, or having to make payroll with a Visa card (or not at all, as luck may have it.)
