    This could be the introduction you've been waiting for! Jim Marshall, (bio), of Selby Ventures will be hosting a VC One-on-One session with start-up members of SDForum. These private 25-minute appointments provide the face-time your company needs to pitch for funding and make a valuable connection in the investor community.



    Mr. Marshall focuses on early stage investments in enterprise software. Companies should have a proof of concept, an initial team, and be looking for their first institutional round.

    As General Partner and Co-Founder of Selby Venture Partners, Jim Marshall brings over eleven years of investment and technology experience in the Silicon Valley to the Selby team. Jim focuses on investments in software, business services and telecommunication services enterprise. He serves as a board member for Cipient Networks Inc., IBT Financial, Inc. and Pagoo, Inc. and has led Selby investments in Consumer Review, Inc., Panopticon, Inc., (acquired by Broadbase Software, Inc.) and SkyPilot Network, Inc.



    Prior to forming Selby, Jim spent nine years in various positions at Silicon Valley Bank (SVB). During his career at SVB, Jim worked closely with more than 75 early-stage, emerging growth technology companies. Most recently, as Vice President of the Commercial Software Practice, he worked with a number of venture-backed software and internet companies including Accrue Software, BEA Systems, Broadbase Software, E.piphany and Nuance Communications.
