Windows SIG: Silverlight and WPF – The Future of Digital Experiences

  • Windows SIG: Silverlight and WPF – The Future of Digital Experiences

Join us at the Windows SIG meeting on February 26th.  The meeting will be held at the Microsoft Silicon Valley campus in Mountain View.  Food and drinks will be served at 6:30 PM.  Meeting will start promptly at 7:00 PM.

The best way to predict the future is to create it... but what does the future hold for rich experiences and, more importantly, what skills should you pursue to make sure you're a part of it?  Come hear Rick Barraza, award winning Experience Architect at Cynergy, talk about pushing the boundaries of interactive design with Silverlight and WPF.

Rick will quickly set the stage on the changing nature of interactive design and discuss its dirty little secret – designer/developer workflow isn't enough.  What is the biggest challenge that usually goes unaddressed and how can you use this to your advantage?
The session deep dives into code samples, demos and clips exploring the emerging challenges and opportunities of rich interaction design and development.  More importantly, learn when and how to creatively "cheat" with Silverlight and WPF to produce some of these experiences today.  From wizards and smart particles to physics becoming the new graphics, come enjoy a wild ride on the cutting edge of Experience Architecture.

Food and drinks will be provided.  Please RSVP to so we can order the appropriate amount.

Note:  This event is free to SDForum members.  Non-SDForum members can either pay $15 at the door or join SDForum as a member for 12 months for $125.
