    Presentation Overview

Microsoft's Henry Nacino will show us more of VB.Net (aka VB7), its new features and language improvements, and how it fits into the whole .Net Platform. There will be a lot to learn for beginning and experienced VB developers alike, and now is the best time to get started.

For example, we'll learn about the major new steps Microsoft is taking to enable you to build next-generation Internet applications and services. You will get a detailed understanding of the advances being made to the Microsoft .NET Platform, including such components as the .NET Runtime, Framework, and Tools. These new .NET technologies will addresses challenges that include: 1) rapidly building high-performance, Internet-scale applications; 2) taking component technology to the next level; 3) moving beyond web sites to building web services; and 4) tying everything together over the Internet.

Tips & Tricks is an informal open discussion of VB development issues. Last month's session featured spontaneous and spirited commentary on Crystal Reports. This month? ("Where do you want to go today?") Bring your favorite questions, rants, etc.!
