    "Develop mature processes to address network device patching" -- Gartner Research

    Network based security advisories/risks are growing and any CXO/IT Manager needs to pay attention to these. As an example Cisco's product security incident response team (PSIRT) releases advisories on security vulnerability related information, related to Cisco products and networks. These advisories could impact both network security, availability and  compliance.There are various challenges in auditing for PSIRTS manually, like the frequency of these releases, frequency of updates and revisions to the released PSIRTs.  In addition if there are devices that are 3-5 years old and already in the process of their end of life, this makes the problem more complex.

    Speaker:

    Kishore Kumar is the President and CEO of Pari Networks. Kishore is a serial entrepreneur specializing in emerging technologies like network security and wireless markets. Prior to Pari he was a senior product line manager looking after router based security in Cisco Security Technology Group. Prior to Cisco Kishore worked in IBM as well founded couple of wireless  and security services startups. Kishore has a master's degree in Computer Technology from Jawaharlal Nehru University.
