    Dan is an experienced Penetration tester, and will talk about how he and his team steathily invade corporate networks to help find the holes! There are several do's and don'ts about Penetration tests that you should know if you're considering one. Dan will cover:

    • How to plan for a test
    • What should be in your toolkit
    • How to avoid getting caught
    • Things you *shouldn't* do
    • What are typical results

    "Deputy Dan" Ritter, Information Security Consultant

    Dan Ritter is a Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) and Certified Information Security Professional (CISSP). Dan currently works as an Information Security Consultant for a large San Francisco Bank, and has thirty years experience with multiple types of computer systems from mainframes to nationwide distributed systems using NT, Unix, and W2K systems. Dan has installed and used Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS) and Firewalls, and led or participated in twenty one (21) penetration tests of various organizations.
