Description

Topic: Virtualization Solutions for Common Software Architecture and Development Issues

Presenter: Eric Greenfeder, Director of Product Management/Senior Architect, Primitive Logic

    Abstract:

Many software architecture and development issues stem from the tight coupling of applications and their configurations to underlying hardware infrastructure. Bound to dedicated hardware, application environments become difficult to migrate, provision, and re-purpose.

Virtualization technologies solve these issues by providing a hardware abstraction layer that loosely couples applications to their underlying infrastructure.

This presentation discusses the different types of virtualization technologies (Desktop, OS, Storage, Data, Application, and Service) and how to effectively leverage them to solve common architecture and development issues.

    Presenter:
Eric Greenfeder has over twenty years of experience in the IT industry. He has held Enterprise Architect and Development Management positions for several Fortune 500 companies and specializes in Infrastructure Architecture, Application Development Management, SOA Implementation/Governance, Security Architecture, and MDM/Business Intelligence solutions. Eric currently works for Primitive Logic as Director of Product Management/Senior Architect and is often called upon to help customers with complex SOA and Infrastructure issues.
