Rob is based in the Silicon Valley office and has over 30 years of consulting experience in innovation, cleantech, sustainability, and growth. He is  a Managing Director and the leader of the firm’s Growth & Innovation Practice and specializes in integrating innovation—new business models and new technologies—into an organization's strategy and operations to create growth. Robert Shelton is a co-author of the book, Making Innovation Work (2006).  This book challenges the prevalent misconceptions about innovation and lays out the tools and processes necessary for an organization to harness and execute

innovation. Rob is the co-founder and a board member of a leading  clean tech incubator in Silicon Valley. It was selected as the best U.S. business incubator in 2009 and chosen by Forbes in 2010 as one of the Ten Top Incubators Changing the World.US Mr. Shelton co-edited a three volume book, The Creative Enterprise (2007) that integrates insights from the fields of management, economics, technology, psychology, and sociology to cover the spectrum across individual and organizational innovation.Through his work, Mr. Shelton has assisted leading companies across a range of industries, including electronics, software, cleantech, energy, health care, consumer goods, aerospace ,and automotive. Mr. Shelton has been a speaker on innovation and business strategy to a range of executives in Asia, the US, and Europe. Mr. Shelton’s work has  published and received media attention in Bloomberg BusinessWeek, Forbes, The Wall Street Journal, Financial Times, CNN Financial News, and Tech Nation (National Public Radio).
