Building Effective Enterprise to Employee VXML Apps
The increasing mobility of today’s workforces is a market opportunity to deliver enterprise information on mobile handsets. Voice technology is a natural candidate for delivering such applications and Vialto Corporation is focused on effective employee empowerment using VXML. Developing and delivering such applications requires architecture with comprehensive backend technology, security and high-availability. The implementation should support infrastructure choices of suitable VXML browsers, ASR and TTS solutions and enterprise-optimal hardware platforms. In addition, the design of the user interface has to be tailored for frequent and busy users requiring high-bandwidth communications. The session will discuss how such architecture and development choices were made and also how pilot usage at major corporations drove such design decisions.
