Mktg SIG: How Well Do You Know Your Competition?
Blair Koch, President, BEK Enterprises
Do you do competitive analysis on a regular basis? If you answered, “no, but we want to,” you’re not alone. Far too often, competitive analysis gets deferred in favor of tasks that are more urgent, but far less important. Unless you budget time to perform competitive intelligence on a regular basis, and respond appropriately to changes in the competitive landscape, you are risking your entire business.
In this session, Blair Koch will discuss what competitive intelligence is, why it is so important, and how you can take steps to understand your competitors. She will cover:
- What you really need to know about your competitors and why
- How to create a competitive landscape
- What information you need to gather and where it can be found
- What to do with the data once it has been collected
- How much you should invest in your competitive landscape
- How competitive intelligence impacts your bottom line
You'll learn tools, tips, and tactics that will help you make competitive analysis a regular part of your business operations.
