    E-Mail Makeovers

    E-mail has become a favorite tool of direct marketers, for good reason: no other tool can reach a broad audience so quickly at so low a cost. But the volume of unsolicited commercial e-mails – known as spam – has increased dramatically in recent years, and most e-mail recipients are now so bombarded by marketing messages that standing out has become a real challenge. Unless you can offer a compelling value proposition, and do so in a way that commands the attention of your target audience, your message will be deleted without a second thought.

    In this session, Laurie Beasley will teach you how to increase response rates through effective message design and campaign execution. She will cover:
     

    • the most effective techniques for implementing e-mail copy and design, and the different copy and design strategies appropriate to each technique
       
    • secrets to building and retaining your own customer e-mail list

      About the Presenter

      Laurie Beasley

      is the founder and president of Beasley Direct Marketing, Inc., a full-service agency providing strategy, creative execution, and 24x7 tracking for integrated direct mail, print advertising, e-Mail, and Internet campaigns. Beasley Direct's clients include companies such as Informatica, Adaptec, Roxio.com, PeopleSoft, WebGain, Intel, Staywell/Krames, Symantec, PhotoAccess.com, and more.

      Prior to founding Beasley Direct eleven years ago, Laurie was direct marketing manager at Borland International. As one of the founding members of Borland’s direct marketing team, she helped grow the company’s direct marketing revenue from zero to a multi-million dollar business. Laurie is the recipient of several awards for integrated marketing campaigns, which featured outstanding creative and exceptional ROI, including the Echo, Pioneer, Silver Pyramid, Communicator and Caples awards. She is also the Vice Chair of the Direct Marketing Association, Northern California Chapter.
