You Named it What?
How to find, protect and promote your company and product names while building a powerful marketing and trademark portfolio.
Your company and product name can dramatically help you market and position your company. They are shorthand for your brand promise and are protected by trademarks that become valuable intellectual property assets. Every day hundreds of companies are looking for new names or product names. How can you be comfortable and legally safe? How can you cut through the competitive noise?
Come learn about the fun and foibles of naming - the joys and the heartaches of dealing with lawyers - the differences between US and International registrations and usage. It is never too early to start finding and protecting your trademarks and never too late to promote them properly. After all: "Your name is the most powerful weapon in the battle for the mind" ...Ries and Trout: Positioning, The Battle for the Mind.
