Strategic Alliances: Partnering for Growth
Strategic alliances are a fundamental part of the high-tech industry. Efficient and effective management of these partnerships is critical to the growth and success of many businesses. Equally important is the alliance partner selection process. This month’s Marketing SIG presentation will answer:
- How do strategic alliances apply to startups and mid-size companies?
- What should smaller companies looking to partner with larger companies do?
In his presentation, Adam Moise from Palm, Inc., will share his experience in:
- What are some of the key decision factors and steps in choosing a strategic partner? And what are some of the challenges?
- Examples of metrics for successful partnerships, and how do partners manage metrics or benefits?
- What are some of the impacts from a marketing standpoint?
Adam will discuss the challenges facing the smartphone industry as an example, and describe the process the Business Development Group at Palm uses to build and streamline its developer partnerships
