Russ is one of the industry pioneers in commercial use of Internet technologies, having designed and build the first Fortune 500 website in 1993. As an early thought leader in business use of the Internet, he pioneered many online marketing techniques now used throughout the industry. Randy Whiting, Brownstone Ventures
Randy Whiting is founder and managing partner of Brownstone Ventures, a unique consulting firm that works with select early stage Internet start-ups to help conceive, develop and accelerate their new ventures.
A founder of CommerceNet in 1994, Randy has remained actively involved in the organization in a variety of roles from contributing member, to board member to President & CEO. During his four years as President and CEO of CommerceNet, he helped set the industry agenda for interoperable eCommerce and the development of eCommerce trading communities. He has worked with leading eCommerce companies such as CommerceOne, VISA, Nokia, NTT, Hewlett-Packard, Cisco Systems and Oracle on establishing new models for eCommerce and trading communities.
