    SDForum Hosts KITECH Korea

    KITECH is a world-level R&D institute that leads manufacturing technology innovation to help Korean technology SMEs compete in the global marketplace. KITECH provides high-tech manufacturing technology development and R&D human resource training as well as establishes close collaborative networking systems among innovative institutes worldwide.



    The Korean Delegation is comprised of 20 companies focusing on clean technology, energy conservation, IT and medical devices (Please contact Kristen Sullivan for more information if you are interested in participating in any of the daytime activities).

    Agenda

    These sessions are for the Korean Delegation only



    Morning Session, 9:00AM to 11:00AM



    This will be a closed session for the Korean delegates to meet City Councilmen and the Mayor of San Jose who are leading the “green tech” revolution in the City of San Jose. They will also meet with coaches to help prepare their presentations for the evening International SIG program



    Venue: San Jose, City Hall



    Lunch Session 12:00PM to 2:30PM



    “How to Succeed in the Valley”

    This will be a panel of experts advising the delegates on what they need to know to succeed and develop business here in the valley. Experts include representatives from banks, accounting firms, venture capitalists and technology firms with a vested interest in the Korean market and clean technology.

    7:00pm-9:00pm Program – Korea: The New Frontier in Clean Technology

    Networking Reception combined with the International SIG to allow “face time” opportunity for Korean companies to share what they do with a larger community of Silicon Valley. Each of the Korean companies will briefly introduce themselves and explain what is special about their technology, before opening up the discussion.



    Jeannine Athas, International SIG Chair, will start the evening by introducing Dr Han,International Cooperation Division, and Principal Research Scientist of Kitech.



    The International special interest group (SIG) is the international arm of the SDForum, connecting global business and technology communities with Silicon Valley.
