It's hard to believe that SDForum is already 20 years old. In the very beginning … the Software Entrepreneurs’ Forum started with a group of software developers and consultants who met at a software marketing conference in Santa Clara in June of 1983. They thought that it would be beneficial to meet on a regular basis, so they successfully organized their first meeting on October 17, 1983. The mission: to provide the industry’s leading innovators with an educational forum for developing marketing strategies, exchanging information, and building professional relationships.

In 1993, The Center of Software Development was launched. The mission: to aid early stage software companies in testing their software and provide an educational forum around entrepreneurship.

In 1998, the 900 Software Forum members merged with The Center to form SDForum, which is as vital today as it has been in the past. For 20 years SDForum has been a part of the ebb and tide of the industry.

Join us for the SDForum 20th Anniversary Open House! Share in our history. Meet the people that are the history of the Valley and SDForum. Visit the SDForum timeline of events, speakers, and defining moments in the high tech industry. Listen to the music of Madonna and eat Twinkies in the 80’s theme room, join the sock-puppet for sushi in the 90’s room, and in the new millennium room, see what tomorrow brings!

We look forward to seeing you there!
