    About the Speakers:

    Amarjit Gill, Co-Founder, P.A. Semi, Inc., and serves as its Executive Vice President of Sales and Business Development (Apple just acquired PA Semi and Gill has just left Apple). Prior to P.A. Semi, Mr. Gill served as Vice president of Sales and Business Development of SiByte Inc (!$2b acquisition). He has 17 years experience in the embedded-microprocessor industry, including work with National Semiconductor, Texas Instruments, and Digital Semiconductor, where he served as Director of Sales of Global Accounts. Mr. Gill holds a Bachelor's ... degree in Electrical Engineering from San Jose State University.

    Josh Goldman, Venture Partner, Norwest Venture Partners. Josh joined Norwest with more than 20 years of operational experience having been a repeat entrepreneur, CEO, board member and investor in several high-growth technology companies. Josh has spent his career seeking to combine his passion for breakthrough technology with an ability to create innovative and sustainable business models for high-growth companies. At NVP, Josh focuses on investments in consumer-facing internet products and services including search, e-commerce, social networking and digital media. His current investments and board seats include NearbyNow, an Internet and mobile local shopping services company, and Sojern, an innovative advertising company servicing the travel industry. He is actively involved with the board of directors at Kriyari and Retrevo.

    Shai Goldman co-manages SVB Capital's Venture Exchange program, which serves as a platform to provide quality referrals to venture firms and assist emerging companies in raising capital through strategic introductions to the right investors for their business. His responsibilities include identifying investment opportunities for SVB Capital Partners Fund and other venture capital firms.

    Goldman joined SVB Financial Group in December 2001. Prior to joining the Venture Exchange program in 2006, Goldman worked with SVB Private Client Services, providing personal financing solutions to entrepreneurs, investors and senior executives in the technology, life science, private equity and premium wine industries.

    Allison Leopold Tilley, a partner at Pillsbury Winthrop, focuses on the representation of technology companies in securities and venture capital transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, private placements, public offerings, venture funds and joint ventures. She has significant experience representing acquirers and target companies. Ms. Leopold Tilley is co-head of the Firm’s Information Technology Practice Team, Head of the Silicon Valley Business and Technology Group and co-head of the Southeast Asia Specialty Team.

    Laurie Lumenti Garty is a Deal Team Leader and manages SVB Silicon Valley Bank’s Emerging Technology Practice for the San Francisco and East Bay Regions. In this role she oversees a portfolio of early-stage technology companies and works closely with the company’s network of angel and venture capital investors and strategic partners.

    With more than a decade of experience in financial services working for the FDIC, Capital Crossing Bank and Bank of America, Garty employs a unique combination of practical operational experience and financial services expertise in working with her clients. She is on the advisory board of the Technology Ventures Corporation, chair of the Angels Breakfast Club and represents SVB in a number of organizations and sponsorships including the National Center for Women in Information Technology and Astia (formerly the Women’s Technology Cluster).

    Anthony Nassar is the Founder and Principal of Venture Momentum. As a consulting CFO, he helps startup entrepreneurs put together the pieces of their financial puzzle by providing a solid foundation from which to successfully raise capital, manage growth and achieve liquidity. Anthony brings to Venture Momentum's clients 20 years of financial management experience. He has assisted start-ups and small businesses on various matters including angel and venture financings, acquisitions, due diligence, accounting systems automation, financial reporting and internal controls. Throughout his assignments, he has advised companies on transactions valued at well over $100 million. Prior to launching Venture Momentum 12 years ago, Anthony held senior management positions in finance and corporate planning with Nexcom Technology, Inc., Fair Isaac Corporation and a consulting group in France.

    Karen Northup, Founder and Chief Executive Officer, Corefino. Karen founded Corefino after serving as chief financial officer (CFO) at successful, venture-backed technology companies. These include Scout Media, where she served as CFO through the company's successful acquisition by Fox Interactive; Rivals.com, where she recruited and trained a 35-member accounting staff and successfully directed the company through its initial public offering; and Telocity (now DirecTV), where she was instrumental in raising a US$134 million mezzanine round of financing. Karen also held management positions with GlobalCenter, including a key role in its acquisition by Global Crossing, and PriceWaterhouseCoopers.

    Steve Reale, General Partner, Levensohn Venture Partners. Steve joined LVP in October 2000 and is focused on enterprise infrastructure and demand-side Cleantech technologies. Steve joined LVP from ZuluSports.com, an Internet-based adventure sports portal, where he was an early employee and Director of Finance. Prior to ZuluSports, Steve held a variety of equity research positions at Robertson Stephens, Van Kasper & Company and JP Morgan, covering a broad range of industries including outsourced financial processors, business services, environmental technologies and services, and retailing.

    Rick Sutton, Plus 3 Network, Inc. Rick has 20+ years of retail promotions and sports marketing experience. He roughed out the Plus 3 product vision in April 2007 and gathered the team together. Prior to that, from 2005 to 2007, he did corporate time with a major bike manufacturer. In 1991, he co-founded GaleForce Sports Marketing and created the Sea Otter Classic:  the world's largest cycling festival. Rick went on to promote over 100 events including national championships, World Cups, charity rides, and trade shows.

     

    Rick is also a former member of UCI International Mountain Bike Commission and a Director of the Junior Development Cycling Foundation. No longer a competitor (yeah right), he raced bicycles for years and continues to ride them for fun.

     

    Vimal Patel, Principal, Sierra Ventures. Vimal is focused on semiconductor, hardware and systems, and clean tech investments. He serves on the Board of Directors at Element Labs and Steelbox Networks and as a Board Observer at Miox, Multigig and Novariant. He formerly served as a Board Observer at SemEquip (acquired by CRDN).

    Prior to joining Sierra in 2004, Vimal spent three years at Alliance Ventures, part of Alliance Semiconductor, as a Senior Associate. Prior to Alliance, Vimal was a management consultant at Diamond Technology Partners and a design engineer at Trimble Navigation.

    Since joining LVP, Steve has done significant project work for numerous LVP portfolio companies. He has often led or assisted projects in business development, product marketing, strategic direction and financial exercises.

    Steve Tennant, Managing Director, Tennant Consulting. For the last 20 years, I have worked directly with over 40 companies to create software solutions to solve their customers' most pressing business problems. My client experience encompasses the full spectrum from a "Fortune 2" company with hundreds of thousands of employees, to several one-person founders of software startups, and every point in between.

    At PeopleSoft from 1994 to 2000, as VP of Business Development, I grew the alliance portfolio to 300 companies and $4B in revenues, and launched products that grew from $7M to over $100M in revenues in 3 years.

    Jeffrey Yu, Managing Director, The Angels’ Forum.  He has spent the last 10 years working with and investing in early stage companies such as Avici Systems, Dust Networks, Fultec Semiconductors, Paxera Corp., and Zolo Technologies.  Prior to joining The Angels’ Forum, Jeff was a Principal at Crescendo Ventures from 2000 to 2007 where he focused on investments in enabling technologies such as semiconductors, optical systems and networking solutions.

    From 1990 – 2000, he held various responsibilities at Nortel Networks including R&D, new product introduction, network planning, product management and business development.
