Description

  • Now in its 9th year, Launch: Silicon Valley is firmly established as the premier product launch platform for startups from the San Francisco Bay area, and around the world . The event, co-presented by SVForum, Garage Technology Ventures and Microsoft, provides the next generation of emerging technology companies with the opportunity to pitch their products to, and network with, an audience of Silicon Valley’s top VCs, Angels, corporate business development executives, prospective customers and partners, bloggers and media.

As in previous years, Launch: Silicon Valley 2013 will feature new companies that are ready for launch, but are not yet well known. These are companies that have a product or service available (as of June 4, 2013), but have not been out in the marketplace for more than a few months.

Please visit www.launchsiliconvalley.org for additional information.

    Benefits for Invited Presenting Companies

Maximize your visibility: Launch: Silicon Valley is all about maximizing your visibility.  To help you do this, we will be creating a brochure containing details on all the presenting companies, which will be given to all the VCs, angels, bloggers, corporate business development executives, corporate investment executives and press who attend the event.

Passes for 2 people:  Companies that accept the invitation to present and register, will receive passes for 2 people to Launch: SIlicon Valley 2013, one for the presenter and the other for a colleague.

36 inch Networking table: includes signage, 120V power, and high speed wireless internet connection.  This is the place to set up your laptop, where you can meet people who want to learn more about you, your product and company.  With 30 companies, there is no room for additional signage or large prototypes, so if you are invited to present at Launch: Silicon Valley 2013, please do NOT bring these with you.

6 minutes to pitch your product: followed by 4 minutes of Q & A with the panel of investors.  As it’s name implies, Launch: Silicon Valley is a product launch event, so focus on that aspect in your presentation.  You may well be approached by potential investor after your pitch, but please do NOT ask for funding during your pitch, as that constitutes a public offering, which will get you, and us, into trouble.

Press Releases: We will be creating a Press Release announcing the names of the companies selected to present, which will be sent to major national & international Press, Bloggers, TV stations and more.

Video: Presentations will be live streamed and posted to YouTube.

Pre-Event Party: Presenting companies will also be invited to the Pre-Event Party from 5:30pm to 8:30pm on June 3 at a cool location in Palo Alto, where you will be able to network with panelists, press, bloggers and registered delegates for Launch: Silicon Valley 2013.

    Launch: Silicon Valley 2012
At Launch: Silicon Valley 2012, over 400 companies submitted executive summaries for presentation spots.   Based on evaluations by the event’s prestigious board of venture advisors, 30 of those companies were invited to leverage Launch: Silicon Valley 2012 as their product launch platform. Each presenting company made a 6 minute onstage presentation to a voting audience of over 400 of Silicon Valley’s top movers and shakers.

During the past 8 years, appbackr, BLADE, Breakthrough, Data Robotics, Dayak, d.light.design, fix8, Industrial Origami, Intelen, Jaxtr, JungleCents, Kiverdi, Kongregate (acquired by GameStop), Mobisant, MyShape, Skyline Solar, Smaato, SocialIQ Networks, tenCube (acquired by McAfee), Steelhouse, Triggit, Trooval, Truemors (acquired by NowPublic), uTest, Vizibility, Yodio, Zuora, and over 180 other startups leveraged SVASE’s annual Launch: Silicon Valley event, to launch their products, raising over $145MM in venture capital, securing customers and partners along the way.
