    About the Presenter

In his expanded role as CEO, Minor is responsible for providing the day-to-day strategic direction and management for the company. Grand Central Communications, Inc., is a provider of the leading Internet Interoperability Network.

As a recognized technology and business visionary, Minor brings a wealth of leadership and operational expertise to Grand Central Communications to drive the company's growth and achieve profitability. Under his direction, he plans to capitalize on the company's initial success with customers such as Wachovia, Eastman Chemical and Xilinx and expand its leadership position as the essential piece of infrastructure that enables the Business Internet.

"The standards of HTML and HTTP unleashed the Consumer Internet and enabled the creation of enormously successful companies like eBay, Yahoo, Amazon and CNET. Being an integral part of that revolution was one of the most exciting times of my life," said Minor. "In hindsight however, that phase of the Internet will appear merely as a warm-up for the opportunities created by the Business Internet through the standards of SOAP, XML and Web services. As an operator at heart, I'm compelled to take a hands-on leadership role with a company destined to be a driving force in this next phase."

A veteran entrepreneur, Minor founded CNET Networks (NASDAQ:CNET) in 1992 and as Chairman and CEO built CNET into one of the world's leading new media companies, recognized around the globe as the trusted source of information related to computers and technology. In 1998, CNET Networks became one of a handful of profitable Internet companies and, in May 1999, was named to the NASDAQ 100. In February 2000, Minor delegated his daily responsibilities as CEO, and in November 2000 he became CNET's Chairman Emeritus.
