John F. Andrews:John F. Andrews is the President and COO of Evans Data Corporation. Andrews has spent over 25 years in market research and information technology related businesses, and has been the CEO of both private and public companies. Before these CEO assignments, he was CIO of CSX Corporation and President of CSX Technology where he was responsible for managing CSX's global IT systems and infrastructure. Prior to CSX, Andrews held a number of executive positions at the telecommunications giant GTE where he was vice president and general manager of its Health Systems, Government Systems and Telecommunications Systems business units. Additionally, he was the CIO of GTE’s Northwest Operations and held senior management positions in finance, marketing and field operations. Andrews has a deep market research background having been the CEO of Giga Information Group (GIGA) prior and during its acquisition by Forrester Research (FORR) in 2002. Andrews received a Masters of Business Administration from the University of Puget Sound and completed a BA in finance from Whitworth College
Dr. Dianna DeVore:Dr Dianna DeVore is currently the Chief Executive Officer of the company Jiva Biosciences, Inc., a regenerative medicine company focused on the promotion of endogenous tissue repair. Prior to joining Jiva Biosciences, Dianna served as both Chief Operating Officer (2002-2005) and Vice President, Clinical Cardiac Development (2005) for the Australian Stem Cell Centre in Melbourne, Australia. Dr DeVore was one of the founders of the ASCC, as was responsible for the establishment of its business, legal and operational activities. Before moving to Australia, Dr DeVore worked with numerous biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies, both in her role as inside counsel for Elan Pharmaceuticals, Inc in South San Francisco and as outside patent counsel, most recently at the California firm Bozicevic, Field and Francis
Peter Hallinan:Dr. Peter W. Hallinan has over twenty years of hands-on experience in management, strategy and technology. He is a co-founder and managing director at Techcelerator, a venture partnership focusing on culturally savvy, low-cost disruption. Previously, he spent 7 years at Analysis Group / Integral, solving problems in growth strategy and innovation management in semiconductors, communications, life sciences, and other industries, and fifteen years developing new software products for small companies, non-profits and the government. He holds A.B., S.M., and Ph.D. degrees from the Division of Applied Sciences at Harvard University
Mohanjit Jolly:Mohanjit Jolly has been with Garage Technology Ventures since 1999. While at Garage, Jolly has worked with over 20 companies, including LeftHand Networks, PureSight, WhiteHat, Xora, PhoneBites, Kaboodle and Vigilistics. Prior to joining Garage Technology Ventures, Jolly helped launch the Mattel/Intel joint venture; Intel Play. He also spent three years in both engineering and business development roles with Itek Optical Systems, a manufacturer of high-resolution reconnaissance systems for both military and commercial use. Jolly earned a B.S. and M.S. in Aeronautics and Astronautics from MIT, and a M.B.A. from the Anderson School at UCLA
Samir Kaul:Samir Kaul is a Director at Kergy Inc., and a founding general partner at Khosla Ventures, focusing on clean technologies and life sciences investing. Since joining forces with Khosla, Samir has led the firm's investments in Altra, Amyris, Cilion, Great Point Energy, Mascoma, Stion, and a number of earlier science projects. Previously, Samir applied his strong scientific background, experience running large project teams, and business training at Flagship Ventures, where he focused on early-stage biotechnology companies. During his five years there, he was involved in starting and investing in a number of companies including Helicos BioSciences, Epitome Biosystems, Codon Devices, LS9, and Morphotek. Samir attended the University of Michigan for his undergraduate studies in biology, and the University of Maryland, where he studied biochemistry. Samir then went on to receive an MBA from Harvard Business School
Dr. Wen-Pai Lu:Dr. Wen-Pai Lu started his security works from his research assignments on network security before the Internet era. Throughout his career, he was one of the founders of the LAN security standard in IEEE 802 (802.10 LAN Security standard) and served as the editor for the 802.10a. Currently, he is focusing on the mobile security architectural and design works, primary targeted to the mobile service providers. He was very active in many standard communities such as in Open Mobile Alliance (OMA) developing mobile web services architecture and services. He also had been very active in Mobile Wireless Internet Forum (MWIF) where he oversaw the security activities in the Mobile Internet and leading the security task forces. In MWIF he was served as a co-chairman for the Proof of Concept (POC) and architecture working groups in MWIF and developing security solution for IP Radio Access Network (RAN) in all-IP mobile wireless network (4G and beyond)
Dominiq Piotet:Dominiq Piotet is head of innovation and new technologies for BNP Paribas since 2001 and President and CEO of Atelier BNP Paribas in the US (www.atelier-us.com). He joined the San Francisco office, about two years ago to be closer to the heart and pulse of Silicon Valley. Before joining BNP Paribas, Dominique was head of the e-business team of a consultancy firm, helping Fortune 500 companies in the field of energy, media and finance with their Internet strategy. He holds a Masters degree from Institut d’Etudes Politiques de Paris and a Masters degree in economics from La Sorbonne
Ann Sung Ruckstuhl:Ann Sung Ruckstuhl was most recently Vice President of Corporate Marketing at Sybase, responsible for worldwide research and planning, strategic marketing, analyst relations, advertising, branding, web presence, database marketing, and marketing & sales automation. Ann forged new marketing & advertising alliances with Visa and Wells Fargo for eBay. Ann has in-depth industry experience in digital content management and e-commerce. As the Vice President of Strategy at The Content Group, a startup focusing on multimedia content management, Ann drove early adoptions of unstructured data archiving, indexing, searching, metering, distribution and monetizing technologies at leading broadcasting and entertainment companies
Mike Wolfe:Mike Wolfe is a Strategic Security Advisor with Microsoft located in the San Francisco Bay Area with over 22 years of IT experience, including 9 years of IT Security experience. His expertise includes security risk assessments, architecture and design, policy development and deployment, and solutions implementation in areas such as Infrastructure, Desktop/Server Standards and Incident Response. A graduate of Kansas University with a business and computer science degree, Mike also holds an MS in Management Information Systems (MIS) from Arizona University and an MBA in Human Resources Management from Golden Gate University
Charles Wu: Charles Wu is a general partner at TianDi Growth Capital, a leading venture capital/growth equity firm based in Shanghai. Charles and his team at TianDi Growth Capital are currently working with a number of Chinese organizations on three projects: windmill turbines, electric car power management systems and coal scrubbers for the Chinese marketplace. He and his partners also have a strong interest in energy conservation (ala rate shifting, air conditioning, window films), coal gasification and water purification areas
