    SDForum and Sierra Ventures are sponsoring a Digital Media thought leadership event on April 28, 2009 in Palo Alto. The event is a forum of insights from market leaders across the broader media landscape – including networks, agencies, digital entertainment, services & infrastructure providers, and venture. This half day event will include keynote presentations and panelist who will provide their perspectives on the evolving trends affecting the digital entertainment.

    Speaker Bios:

    Steven M. Abraham, Global General Manager, Media and Entertainment, IBM Global Business Services. Steven Abraham has worldwide responsibility for IBM’s Global Business Services (GBS) in the Media & Entertainment (M&E) industry. GBS is the management consulting, systems integration and application systems outsourcing arm of IBM. Under Mr. Abraham’s leadership, the M&E business has grown to encompass many segments, including filmed entertainment, television, media networks (cable, satellite, internet-based, broadcast), music, publishing (newspaper, book, magazine, internet-based), consumer products, information providers, advertising, theme parks and sports. The business has significant operations throughout North and South America, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia Pacific.

    Since 2002, Mr. Abraham tripled revenues with about 60 partners and 2,000 professional staff globally. He is responsible for global sales, revenue and profit. His group brings together IBM’s services and products into a total value proposition, that includes management consulting, systems integration, digital media, hosting, offshore/onshore applications development, business & systems outsourcing and IBM/third-party software products and services. The focus is achieving change that creates shareholder value. Over the last few years, he has focused on growing the business in the US, UK, France, Germany, Spain, Japan, India and China. Priorities have included account selectivity and focus, developing powerful digital media solutions for production and distribution - especially in direct-to-consumer broadband services - growing the applications outsourcing business and building a broad business services portfolio in key accounts.

    Mr. Abraham held increasing levels of responsibility for a similar practice in Pricewaterhouse Coopers Consulting. Steve joined PwCC in 1981 and became a partner in 1988. With a strong background in technology and business, Mr. Abraham recognized early on the impact that technology would have on the M&E, Telecom and consumer electronics industries, and helped shape the practice to address the constantly evolving impact of digital media and digital distribution on consumer preferences, business models and related infrastructure needs. Under Steve’s watch, PwCC built the largest such practice among its competitors. He took on additional global responsibility for Telecom in 2000 and led the global Communications sector (Telecom, Media, Entertainment, Hospitality) for PwCC. With the acquisition of PwCC by IBM in late 2002, Mr. Abraham was named global leader of M&E for GBS.

    Mr. Abraham’s primary role has been building and operating the business, but he has been directly involved in many deals and projects for clients around the world -- Sony, Disney, AT&T, DreamWorks, NBC Universal, Time Warner, Newscorp, EMI, Viacom, Washington Post, D&B, BBC, NTT, Qwest, Sprint, Echostar , Canal +, Zee TV, Cox and Comcast. He has forged deep relationships with many senior executives. He also has experience in telecom, retail, consumer products and electronics.

    Prior to PwCC, Mr. Abraham managed software development at Xerox’s Systems Development Division, where he helped pioneer leading-edge products that today form the foundation for today’s personal computer/networked environments and internet-based/media-rich services.

    Mr. Abraham received his MS in Computer Science from UCLA, where he was a Regent’s Scholar. He graduated Phi Beta Kappa and Magna Cum Laude from UCSB in math/computer science. He resides in Pacific Palisades (LA) with his wife and five children. He is an avid outdoors/sports enthusiast.

    Mitchell Berman, Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder, Zillion TV. Mitchell Berman’s 25 years of executive management and entrepreneurial leadership in multimedia entertainment and technology include a combination of powerhouse television brands and rising television technology start-ups. Under his global leadership, Mitch has spearheaded the launch of consumer entertainment services spanning cable, DBS, IPTV, Broadband, P2P, VoIP, wireless, interactive television, video-on-demand (VOD), and digital advertising insertion.

    John Calkins, Executive Vice President, Sony Pictures Entertainment. John Calkins is Executive Vice President of Corporate Development for Sony Pictures Entertainment (SPE), responsible for driving corporate initiatives in emerging business areas, coordinating corporate and divisional investments and divestitures and overseeing the implementation of the SPE mid range planning process. Prior to coming to Sony Pictures, he was President of Warren N. Lieberfarb & Associates (WNLA), and came to WNLA from Warner Bros, where he ultimately held the post of Senior Vice President of Corporate Business Development and Strategy.

    Prior to joining Warner Bros, Calkins was with McKinsey & Company, as an Associate Principal in its Los Angeles office. He received his MBA from Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business as a Fuqua Scholar, and is active on a number of private company and charity boards of directors.

    Dan Cohen, Executive Vice President, Pay Television and Interactive Media. Dan Cohen is executive vice president, pay television and interactive media for Disney - ABC Domestic Television (DADT), which licenses its vast library of motion pictures and broadcasting assets from The Walt Disney Company in pay television, video-on-demand, pay-per-view, mobile, broadband, IPTV and other digital technologies.

    A twelve-year Disney veteran, Cohen’s achievements include a groundbreaking pay TV deal with Starz, which was the biggest pay TV output deal in history. DADT dominates video-on-demand and pay-per-view arenas -- Cohen has orchestrated key VOD movie output deals with cable MSOs such as Comcast, telcos such as Verizon and satellite distributors such as DirecTV. His team is spearheading new media efforts for the company, taking its properties into the broadband, wireless and digital industries, recently securing VOD deals with Apple’s iTunes, Microsoft’s XBOX, Sony’s Playstation and TiVo. DADT was the first studio to partner with a cellular phone company on a VOD deal with the launch of Sprint Movies (powered by mSpot). Last fall, the pay television and interactive media group unveiled the subscription video-on-demand (SVOD) entertainment service, Disney Family Movies, with launch partner Charter Communications. The service is the first of its kind in family entertainment, featuring classic and contemporary movies and animated shorts from The Walt Disney Studios. Among its television assets, Cohen’s team pursues distribution opportunities for content produced by ABC Studios with platforms such as Apple’s iTunes, Microsoft’s XBOX and Netflix. Additionally, Cohen oversees digital distribution for DADT’s first-run series, which recently included a licensing agreement for Legend of the Seeker with Hulu, as well as the launch of a Who Wants To Be A Millionaire game via the iTunes store.

    Cohen has more than 20 years of industry experience. He joined Disney « ABC Domestic Television (formerly known as Buena Vista Television) in 1997 as vice president and general manager, pay television. He was promoted to senior vice president and general manager, pay television in 2000 and was promoted to his current role in March of 2007.

    Prior to joining Disney, Cohen served as vice president, program acquisitions and scheduling for Tele-TV Media. He was responsible for developing and programming fifty channels of near-video-on-demand entertainment, including pay-per-view movies, events, sports packages and time-shift television, as well as negotiating licensing agreements with content suppliers. From 1989 to 1995, Cohen served as vice president, film acquisitions and co-productions for Showtime Networks, where he evaluated, acquired and negotiated licensing agreements for all films on Showtime, The Movie Channel, Flix and The Sundance Channel. From 1993 to 1995, he was executive in charge of production for all international co-productions and selected domestically-produced films for Showtime Original Movies. Cohen’s background also includes roles with Viewer’s Choice, Palmer Cablevision and Post-Newsweek Cable.

    He graduated from Portland’s Lewis and Clark College with a bachelor’s in economics; he earned his master’s in radio and television from San Francisco State University.

    Jim Denney, Vice President, Product Marketing, TiVo Inc. As Vice President of product marketing at TiVo, Jim Denney is responsible for defining TiVo's hardware platform and service direction, strategy, and requirements. During his tenure at TiVo, he has worked closely with internal resources as well as partner companies like Toshiba and Pioneer on the cooperative development of products.  Mr. Denney represents TiVo in major product announcements and has represented TiVo in testimony before Congress on the issue of fair use of content.

    Prior to joining TiVo, Mr. Denney held leadership positions in product marketing at iBEAM Broadcasting/WilTel Communications and SGI, focusing on the creation of distribution networks for streaming media and media production tools for both enterprise and entertainment applications. He was involved in 3D animation at FTI Corporation and started his career as a systems consultant at Andersen Consulting.

    Mr. Denney has a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Purdue University.  He also received an Emmy from the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences for his contributions to the development of the TiVo Service.

    Mark Fernandes, Managing Director, Sierra Ventures. Mark Fernandes served as a Director in Merrill Lynch’s Infrastructure Software Research group prior to joining Sierra Ventures in 2002. Mark began his career as part of the founding team of an early stage display company before joining Seagate Technology as a Product Manager. He subsequently worked for Cisco Systems as a Product Manager and continued his affiliation with Cisco while he earned an MBA from Harvard Business School. Following Harvard, he joined Robertson Stephens as a Research Analyst before being recruited by Merrill Lynch. In addition to his MBA from Harvard, Mark holds a graduate engineering degree from University of California Berkeley and an undergraduate engineering degree from Mangalore University.

    Mark’s primary investment focus is infrastructure software and the consumer Internet. Among the portfolio companies he has worked with in the past are FrontBridge (acquired by Microsoft), Sourcefire (Nasdaq: FIRE), Net6 (acquired by Citrix), Permeo (acquired by Blue Coat Systems) and uGenie (acquired by Lulu). He is actively working with Opalis Software, Piczo, Spotzer Media Group, Predictify, and Ooyala .

    Russell Fradin, President, Adify. Russ co-founded Adify with Larry Braitman and Rick Thompson. Most recently, Russ was the SVP of Business Development for Wine.com, the Internet’s largest seller of wine where he was responsible for creating new revenue channels for the business. Before joining Wine.com, Russ was the EVP of Corporate Development for comScore Networks. Russ began at comScore in 2000 before comScore signed its first customer and was responsible for starting many of the company’s businesses as well as structuring strategic alliances. Russ began his career at Flycast Communications and had a number of roles during his four year tenure, finally serving as Flycast/Engage’s VP of Business Development. Russ holds a BS from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.

    Christine Heckart, General Manager Marketing, Microsoft TV. Christine Heckart is responsible for worldwide marketing and partner business development activities for the TV, Video & Music Business at Microsoft Corporation. In her role, she manages the teams responsible for market and competitive research and analysis, strategic and business planning, product management and planning, marketing communications, and customer and partner co-marketing activities. Heckart also significantly contributes to the overall vision, strategy and execution of the business, overseeing the success of Microsoft ® Mediaroom™, Windows ® Media Center and Zune ® software products with network operators, content owners, application developers, hardware manufacturers and other partners. Prior to joining Microsoft, Heckart was vice president of marketing for Juniper Networks. In her three years in this role, Heckart worked closely with the executive team to expand and diversify Juniper’s market focus and global customer base. Prior to Juniper, she served as president of the strategic consulting firm, TeleChoice, Inc., where she worked with leading vendors and service providers worldwide on business and marketing strategy, differentiation and positioning, and new service creation. Heckart is the author of The Guide to Frame Relay Networking and co-author of ATM for Dummies. An acknowledged industry thought leader, Heckart was named one of Network World’s "Top 10 Power Thinkers" and "50 Most Powerful People in the Industry."

    She graduated from the University of Colorado at Boulder with a degree in economics.

    Gordon Henry, President, North and South America, Spotzer Media Group. Gordon is a seasoned media executive with more than twenty years of advertising and publishing experience in yellow pages, publishing and direct marketing. Most recently, he was Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer at Yellowbook, where he worked for seven years. Previously, he held senior positions with Knight Ridder/Philadelphia Newspapers Inc. and Columbia House Company. He earned an MBA at Wharton Business School, an MA in International Affairs at the University of Pennsylvania and a BA at Yale University.

    Jack Kennedy, Executive Vice President, Strategy and Corporate Development, Fox Interactive Media. As Executive Vice President of Strategy and Corporate Development, Jack is responsible for shaping the strategy of Fox Interactive Media’s (FIM) portfolio of leading social networking, entertainment, sports and information sites, which includes MySpace, IGN, Photobucket, RottenTomatoes and others.  He also manages the divisions’ mergers and acquisitions and business development efforts. 

    Prior to FIM, Kennedy served in a similar position at Fox Networks Group and has consulted for clients in the media, entertainment and telecommunications industries. Kennedy has advised chief executives, boards, and management teams and private equity firms on tactical and strategic issues and has led numerous merger & acquisition efforts from initial strategy formulation through the negotiation, due diligence and closure processes.  

    Previously Kennedy was Chief Executive Officer of Load Media Network, an internet media company providing rich media content delivery to corporate and consumer end-users. He also served as Strategic Advisor to the Chief Executive Officer of Teledesic, a satellite-based broadband services company founded by telecommunications pioneer Craig McCaw. In this role, he was responsible for identifying markets, market entry strategies, joint venture partners, and acquisition targets.  Kennedy has also held positions at Idanta Partners, has served on the staff of Senator John McCain and held a position on the staff of the Joint Chiefs of Staff at the Pentagon.

    Kennedy holds a Bachelors degree in Economics and Engineering from the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland as well as an MBA from Harvard University. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of Corporacion de Telecomuniciones de Regionales, S.A de C.V., San Jeronimo, Mexico.

    David Krantz, President and CEO, AT&T Interactive. Mr. Krantz leads the AT&T business unit responsible for developing, managing, and delivering online and mobile advertising products across all of AT&T’s media platforms.  AT&T Interactive includes YELLOWPAGES.COM, a top 30 consumer web property and a leader in local search.  AT&T Interactive advertising products are sold by a 5,000+ person nationwide sales force.

    Prior to that Mr. Krantz led the Business Development team which is responsible for discovering, initiating and deploying new services for AT&T consumer market customers.  This group operates outside the traditional product development structure to drive new innovative services, improve time-to-market, and test new channels and communication techniques.

    Prior to that Mr. Krantz was Product Management, Strategy & Business Development Vice President for AT&T’s Consumer division, which provided an array of local and long distance services, prepaid and subscriber calling cards, and dial-up and broadband Internet access services.

    Mr. Krantz was a member of the executive leadership team for AT&T Consumer, which served approximately 35 million customers and contributed $9.5 billion in revenue and $2.1 billion in operating income to AT&T in 2003.  He led the product management organization for the division in addition to directing overall strategy and business development activities.

    Mr. Krantz joined AT&T after an assignment as Vice President-Marketing and Business Development for GoDigital Networks, a telecommunications equipment company. There he served as a member of the executive management team and was responsible for all marketing and business development, including product line planning, product management, pricing, marketing communications, public relations, corporate strategy and business development.

    Prior to that, Mr. Krantz was Senior Director-Marketing and Development for Netscape Business Solutions at America Online/Netscape Communications. In that role, he was responsible for leveraging Netscape and AOL assets to build strategic partnerships with Fortune 500 companies that drove E-Commerce opportunities.  As Director-Business Planning for Netscape, he helped create the strategic planning function within Netscape.

    Before joining AOL/Netscape, Mr. Krantz was Director-Business Development and Alliances in the Consumer Markets Group at Pacific Bell.  Mr. Krantz also held marketing and finance positions at Sprint and Proctor & Gamble.

    Bismarck Lepe, Co-Founder and CEO, Ooyala. Bismarck Lepe is the CEO and co-founder of Ooyala - a video technology company. Under Bismarck's leadership, Ooyala has become the fastest growing video platform solution provider. Before starting Ooyala, Bismarck was a Product Marketing Manager at Google where he worked on the development and launch of content monetization products for AdSense.  At Google, he was responsible for launching click-to-play video ads and banner advertising products for the  AdSense network. Prior to joining Google, Bismarck was a Marketing Manager at Elance. He has a B.A. from Stanford University.

    Susan Lucas-Conwell, CEO, SDForum. Susan is an accomplished CEO, entrepreneur, business development and marketing executive with global experience. She is the CEO of SDForum (www.sdforum.org), Silicon Valley’s largest and oldest high-tech non-profit that provides education and a networking community of technologists, entrepreneurs, VCs and others. Susan graduated with honours from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in economic history, has a Masters degree in economic history from Johns Hopkins University and an MBA from The Wharton School. She started her career in marketing for General Mills before moving to France, where she held senior management positions at Cartier International, Bausch & Lomb (Ray Ban) and Chateau and Country (a French internet start-up). She started the European chapter of FWE&E, and also founded Clear-Day, an international business accelerator working with a portfolio of European and American companies. Three years ago, she moved to Palo Alto with her husband, four daughters, parrot and dog. In addition to her role as CEO of SDForum, she serves on the Advisory Boards of Astia and FWE&E.

    Larry Magid, Technology Analyst, CBS News & CNET News. Larry Magid is a technology journalist and an Internet safety advocate.

    He presently serves as Technology Analyst for CBS News & CNET News. His technology reports can be heard several times a week on CBS News and CBS affiliates throughout the U.S. and he has a daily tech segment for KCBS radio in San Francisco. He’s made several appearances on CBS News network TV programs, CNET webcasts and local TV news stations and his columns and podcasts can be found on CBSNews.com and News.CNET.com. He is also a weekly columnist for the San Jose Mercury News and the Palo Alto Daily News and an occasional contributor to the New York Times.

    One of Larry’s newest books is MySpace Unraveled: A parents guide to teen social networking, coauthored with Anne Collier. He also wrote The Little PC Book, a critically acclaimed best seller. Other books include The Little Quicken Book, Cruising Online: Larry Magid’s Guide to the New Digital Highways, The Fully Powered PC and Electronic Link: Using the IBM PC to Communicate. Magid is also co-director of ConnectSafely.org and host of three popular websites: PCAnswer.com, SafeKids.com and SafeTeens.com.

    Magid authored several Internet safety guides including, Child Safety on the Information Highway and Teen Safety on the Information Highway for the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children.

    He’s written for Fortune, Family Circle, PC World, Information Week, ComputerWorld and numerous other publications. He’s been a guest several national and local broadcast shows throughout the country including The Larry King Show, CBS’ Early Show, NBC’s Today Show, NPR’s Talk of the Nation, and National Public Radio’s All Things Considered.

    He’s a board member of the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children and a member of the advisory boards of both GetNetWise.org and Family Online Safety Institute and served on the Internet Safety Technical Task Force.

    Magid has a doctorate of education from the University of Massachusetts and a bachelor’s degree from the University of California at Berkeley. He resides in Palo Alto, California where he helped raise two digital natives.

    Daniel Offner, Partner, Nixon Peabody. Mr. Offner has a corporate and intellectual property practice where he represents businesses and individuals in the videogame, new media, digital content, wireless, and merchandise licensing industries. He performs a wide range of services for his clients, often functioning as outside general counsel. He regularly handles licensing, publishing, and distribution transactions, as well as corporate formation, financing, and mergers and acquisitions work, in addition to dispute resolution matters. Mr. Offner has represented numerous companies in the videogame and internet industries, including some of the leading videogame publishers and developers in the videogame business since the mid-1990s. Mr. Offner's clients often are working directly at the intersection of content and technology where new products, companies, and industries are emerging.

    Jeffrey Revoy, President/General Manager of Interactive Services group, Embarq. Jeffrey J. Revoy is President/General Manager of the newly formed Interactive Services group for Embarq Corporation. EMBARQ operates in 18 states offering voice, data, high speed internet, wireless and entertainment services to over 5 million customers. EMBARQ generates more than $6 billion in revenues annually and is included in the Fortune 500® list of America’s largest corporations.

    In his position, Revoy is responsible for driving the development and delivery of innovative Web-based applications and services that will extend EMBARQ’s core strengths as one of the country’s leading communications companies.

    Revoy comes to EMBARQ from Yahoo!, and brings nearly 20 years of Internet and technology experience to his new role. During his six years at Yahoo!, he held a number of product and business leadership positions, both at headquarters and internationally. Most recently, Jeff was based in Europe as Vice President of Search and Social Media, including global responsibility for Yahoo! Answers, one of the most successful Community sites on the Internet. Jeff also served as Director of International Communication Products, which included products such as Yahoo! Mail, Messenger and Voice services.

    Revoy has held other product and business roles in Fortune 500 and start-up companies including AT&T, AT Kearney and InterTrust Technology, the pioneer in digital rights management technology.

    Revoy has a Master of Business Administration from the University of Virginia and a Bachelor of Business Administration in finance from the University of Wisconsin. He will report directly to CEO Tom Gerke and will be located in Wake Forest/Raleigh, N.C.

    Jimmy Schaeffler, Chairman and Chief Service Officer, Senior Research Analyst, Carmel Group. A three and a half decade-long telecommunications, computer, and media industry veteran, Mr. Schaeffler began his professional career with ABC Sports, during the 1972 Munich Olympics, working daily along side the much-respected Roone Arledge and Peter Jennings, as well as renowned commentators Jim McKay and Frank Gifford. Building on that foundation, he became a producer, executive, and attorney with ABC Sports, working at the Innsbruck, Montreal, and Lake Placid Olympic Games, and through the 1984 Games in Sarajevo.

    For 1976-78, Mr. Schaeffler worked as an account executive for Mark McCormack’s International Management Group (IMG), focusing on the skiing and bicycling sports. During 1986-90, Mr. Schaeffler was the Assistant General Counsel for the U.S. Olympic Committee (USOC), and afterwards the vice president and general counsel of the Aspen, CO-based Adventure World Productions and Ashcroft Ski Touring.

     

    Most recently, Mr. Schaeffler was the DBS analyst for Paul Kagan Associates. As the company’s DBS expert during 1992-1995, Mr. Schaeffler was the principal author, researcher and analyst for the monthly DBS newsletter and for the inaugural edition of what was then the industry’s premier databook, “The State of DBS.” His most recent publications include “2002 DBS North America, Trends, Analysis, Projections,” a 319 page, 132 chart treatise, where he served as its publisher, editor and principal author; “DVRs 2006: Time In A Magical Box”; “Unlocking Cable’s True Potential: A Guide To Revenue Growth In An Age of Piracy”; and “DVRs 2007: Time In A Magical Box”; plus, hundreds of published trade and magazine articles he has written during past 12+ years (to view samples, Google name “Jimmy Schaeffler”). In April 2008, Mr. Schaeffler pulbished his first 275+ page book for the NAB, under the Focal Press Executive Technology Briefing series, called “Digital Signage --- Software, Networks, Advertising, and Displays: A Primer for Understanding the Business.” An additional work about Digital Video Recorders is also scheduled in mid 2008 with the same publisher, tentatively titled, “DVRs: Changing TV Forever.”

    Mr. Schaeffler is regularly consulted and his positions are quoted in publications, such as The Wall Street Journal, Time, Newsweek, Business Week, The New York Times, USA Today, Investor’s Business Daily, and The Los Angeles Times. He has regularly contributed articles to key trade journals such as TWICE, Satellite News, Multichannel News and Private Broadband. He is also on the editorial board of Private Broadband magazine, and is or has been an active member of the satellite industry trade and service groups, the Satellite Broadcasting & Communications Assn. (SBCA) and the Independent Multifamily Communications Council (IMCC), and the advisory board of the company Near Earth LLC.

    Mr. Schaeffler holds a Bachelor of Arts degree (with high honors) from the University of California at Berkeley. He also speaks fluent German (having studied several terms at the Goethe Institute) and he holds a doctor of jurisprudence degree from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law, where he served as a staff member of and writer for the Pacific Law Journal. Prior to leaving the active practice of law, Mr. Schaeffler was licensed to practice in California, Minnesota, Colorado, Washington, DC, and before the United States Supreme Court.

    Timothy Twerdahl, Vice President of Consumer Products, Roku. Tim is a consumer electronics veteran, with a track-record of developing critically acclaimed and commercially successful products. Tim joined Roku from Netflix, Inc. where led Product Management for Netflix's Internet TV initiative. Prior to Netflix Tim was a Sr. Director in Motorola's Connected Home Group. Tim has also held product management and marketing positions at Palm and Time Inc. Tim earned his MBA from the Kellogg School at Northwestern University and his bachelor's degree from Hamilton College. Tim holds nine patents for consumer electronics products.

    Michael Yang, Venture Partner, Comcast Interactive Capital. Michael is a Venture Partner at CIC based in Silicon Valley. He is involved in sourcing, identifying, and evaluating new investment opportunities and is actively part of the decision making process at the fund. Prior to joining CIC, Michael was a Vice President/General Manager at Yahoo! in the Media Group as well as the Local Markets & Commerce Division. During his tenure at Yahoo!, he managed Yahoo! Autos, Yahoo! Real Estate and Yahoo! Health; co-led Yahoo! Shopping; and was part of the team that formed Yahoo!’s strategic alliance with the Newspaper Consortium. Previously, he was a Principal with Atlas Venture, a trans-Atlantic venture capital firm, where he focused on early stage enterprise software and IT investments in New England. Earlier in his career, he served as senior director of product marketing and business development for Zaplet, a venture-backed collaboration software company, and was a member of AOL’s Business Affairs team focused on e-commerce and interactive marketing partnerships. Michael graduated from Harvard University with an MBA. He also graduated from the University of Pennsylvania’s with a BS in Economics from The Wharton School.
