Business Intelligence SIG: Visual Analysis Using Tableau Software
The Monthly Meeting of the Business Intelligence SIG
Visual Analysis for Business Intelligence Using Tableau Software
Software interfaces that facilitate visual analysis are increasingly becoming an important part of successful Business Intelligence projects. Unfortunately, most popular business intelligence application front-ends suffer from a series of fundamental visual design flaws. These flaws make the process of visual problem-solving difficult for business users. This presentation describes the major flaws and discusses common characteristics of best-practice solutions. The presentation will include a demo of Tableau Software's new visual analysis tools.
