Presenter: Sajjad Jaffer, Co-Founder, Mercatrix
Presentation: The explosive growth of content and commerce on the web has spawned the growth of various vertical search, semantic web, and analytic engines. During this interactive discussion, we'll take a look at the market implications for consumers and knowledge workers. The presentation will focus on how the competitive marketplace is evolving for search and analytics as well as identify which business models will win in the long term.
Presenter: Sajjad is the co-founder of Mercatrix, a market intelligence alert engine for knowledge workers. Sajjad's held product management and marketing responsibilities at Microsoft, Akamai Technologies, and Trilogy Software. Most recently, he was Head of Marketing for Infosys Technologies, the inspiration for Tom Friedman's best-seller, "The World is Flat". Sajjad serves as VP Programs for the Wharton Club of Northern California, the world's largest and most active Wharton alumni association. Sajjad has conducted various speaking engagements at Wharton, AMR Research, The Electronics Supply Chain Association on Web 2.0, Product Innovation and Operations for High Tech Companies. Sajjad graduated from Bowdoin College with a double major in Computer Science and Government with an Economics minor and holds an MBA from The Wharton School.
