Business Intelligence SIG: Event Based Architectures For Real-Time BI

  • The Monthly Meeting of the Business Intelligence SIG

    Presentation Overview

This presentation discusses the use of Event Server technology to deliver real-time intelligence about critical business activities as they happen frequently during the business day. Traditional business intelligence solutions have been batch oriented and focused on analyzing large sets of relational data which limits their applicability to the real-time detection of important events.

The speaker will discuss a set of business problems where real-time event analysis is extremely important, the key architectural capabilities of Event Sever technology, how those capabilities differ from traditional business intelligence tools, and a series of customer cases study examples that demonstrate the power of Event Server technology.
