We're entering the next generation of marketing analytics, in which companies use real-time data warehousing to gather, analyze, and react in real-time to their customers. For example, Wal*Mart used its data warehouse to "see" at ten minute intervals all customer purchasing patterns on 9/11, and used this information to corner the market on flags.
This fast-paced talk will begin with some examples of how companies like Wal*Mart and Harrah's use analytics technologies to beat their competitors. Next, we'll talk about the "hottest" areas in analytics, including profitability and multi-channel optimization. The talk wraps up with some tantalizing thinking about the future of marketing analytics for interactive channels.
About the Presenter
Dr. Dave Schrader
Dr. Dave Schrader is the lead Strategist and one of the Marketing Directors for Teradata’s Applications Solutions team, focusing on E-Business and CRM applications. He has been instrumental in the development of Teradata’s E-Offers and is a frequent speaker at conferences. He has worked at NCR for 11 years as the Director of Teradata Advanced Development as well as Director of E-Marketing. Before joining NCR, he held engineering positions at Digital Equipment Corporation and at Servio Corporation. He holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Purdue University.
