Jesse C. Freese, Early Stage Practice, RSC Manager, TriNet
Jesse Freese started his career 16 years ago helping the State Department recruit and train humanitarian disaster professionals for overseas assignment. Since those days, he has worked exclusively with HR-related companies in both the recruiting of staff and delivery of HR services to growth-oriented businesses nationwide. He spent 5 years with a Bay Area tech and recruiting startup that consulted him out for multi-year onsite engagements at companies such as StarMine and CafePress where he managed their talent acquisition efforts. For the last 5 years Jesse has worked with TriNet, a 27-year old HR outsourcing company with 9,000 clients and 265,000 employees supported. He is now managing their Early Stage Practice, a team of professionals that focus on supporting startups and their unique business needs. He has on-boarded 300+ clients to TriNet’s HR services platform and reviews HR options with twice that number annually. When he’s not talking advising founders, he's at home supporting his wife, two daughters, 8 chickens, 3 fish, and one dog.
Clint Oram, Co-Founder and Chief Technology Officer, SugarCRM
Clint helped found SugarCRM in 2004 with the goal of helping companies around the world turn customers into loyal fans. Today, he leads corporate development strategy and the alliances teams. Clint was one of the original architects and developers of the Sugar application and has focused on building out the product, company, partners and community in a variety of executive roles. Prior to co-founding SugarCRM, Clint held senior roles in the development, professional services and product management organizations at Epiphany, Octane Software and Hewlett Packard. He has 15 years experience in the enterprise software industry and over 10 years designing and building award-winning CRM software solutions. Clint holds a BS in computer science from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo and is a co-author of a CRM software patent. Clint enjoys traveling and speaking at conferences on a variety of technical topics, and has visited SugarCRM customers and partners in over 25 countries.
Spencer Tall – Managing Director of Allegis Capital
Spencer Tall serves on the boards of Allegiance, IMVU, Moki, Symplified, and Tillster (formerly EMN8), and led Allegis investments in Shape Security, Synack and Area 1 Security. Prior investments include E.piphany (EPNY), Web TV (acquired by MSFT), One Touch Systems (acquired by Hughes Satellite) and Solera Networks (acquired by Blue Coat). Mr. Tall is renowned for his ability to leverage marketing, distribution and sales opportunities especially in Asia for his portfolio companies. Prior to Allegis Capital, Mr. Tall was a co-founder and General Partner with APV Technology Partners for three funds over 10 years. In addition, Mr. Tall is a co-founder of Asia Pacific Ventures LLC, a consulting and advisory service firm where, over a 13-year period, he assisted more than 50 technology companies in their Asia expansion plans. Mr. Tall has acted as a strategic advisor to global companies including Motorola, Sony, Fujitsu, Samsung, Canon, TDK, and Dacom. Prior to founding APV, Mr. Tall oversaw U.S. sales operations for Marubun Corporation, a Japan-based billion dollar components trading company. Mr. Tall has a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science and Japanese from BYU and speaks Japanese fluently.

Jon Gonzales is a partner in Procopio’s Silicon Valley office. He counsels emerging growth companies, public companies and angel investors with regard to business formations, financings, mergers and acquisitions, securities compliance and licensing matters. His experience includes the representation of technology companies in the consumer, mobile advertising, social, Internet, semiconductor, software, and hardware sectors. Jon’s prior experience also includes serving as Chief Corporate Counsel at a public semiconductor company, Vice President and General Counsel – Operating Companies at Idealab, and as an attorney with Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati, where he represented Netscape Communications and NeXT Software and top-tier investment banks in connection with the initial public offerings of NVIDIA and Informatica. Jon is also a Certified Public Accountant licensed in Texas. He received his BBA (Accounting) and MPA (Taxation) from the University of Texas at Austin and his JD from Stanford University.
