    Based on our member survey results, we decided to follow up on a couple of interesting threads we uncovered last year:  RichRelevance stated in a past meeting that Pinterest has one of the highest average spending per online shopper; Wrapp also pointed out that the $100 billion gift card industry was ripe for disruption and perfect for social commerce integration.   We want to further explore these trends and how it fits in the e-commerce landscape.  In that vein, are we are delighted to have the founders of Gyft and ShopInterest and the director of InfusionSoft come and speak about their company and to opine about their thoughts of where social e-commerce is headed.

    As you know, social media as an e-commerce channel is still in its infancy. But the numbers are growing. Fast.

    Traffic: On average, retailers get 4.25% of their total site traffic directly from Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest (Social Media 300 guide).

    Sales: Merchants brought in a total of $1.6 billion in social commerce sales last year, less than 1% of the $224.2 billion in U.S. online retail sales projected for 2012 by eMarketer, a research firm focused on online marketing and commerce.

    Francisco is a serial entrepreneur, bringing over 10 years of marketing and business development experience to Shopinterest. As VP Marketing, he helped launch MotherKnows.com at TechCrunch Disrupt, and has managed marketing and ecommerce at Gap, HP, McAfee and YouSendIt among others. Francisco has an MBA from Christian Brothers University.




    Vinny Lingham - Founder, Gyft

    Vinny is a serial entrepreneur focusing on Mobile, Online Marketing & SaaS business models. Selected as an Endeavor Entrepreneur and Young Global Leader he has passion to build Internet based companies. Over the years Vinny has successfully raised over $50M in funding and is an active angel investor. He is very involved in the Silicon Cape Initiative, which aims to build a high-tech cluster in South Africa. Prior to co-founding Gyft, he co-founded Clicks2Customers.com and Yola.com. Vinny lives in Palo Alto, with his wife and son.



    Julie Kraft - Bay Area Regional Director - InfusionSoft, Founder & CEO - AchievingGreatnessLLC

    Julie Craft is a seasoned executive in the social and mobile gaming space backed by 20 years of successful high-tech leadership experience. She is the founder and CEO of AchievingGreatness, LLC, www.achievinggreatness.net, a leadership and media consultancy. She is also the Bay Area Regional Director for Infusionsoft, the all-in-one sales and marketing technology platform specifically designed for small businesses and entrepreneurs. She is the former Vice President of Business Development at Heyzap, the world's largest social network for mobile games and the head of the
    publisher network for TapJoy, the world’s largest monetization and virtual currency platform for web and mobile games. Julie was the VP of Marketing at SimplyHired, global search engine for jobs, from the first day the site went live and helped grow it to millions of unique visitors per month. Julie is a start-up junkie at heart, so after many years of running large product marketing teams within a $2 billion dollar division at AT&T, she moved on as a key executive at two high tech start-ups contributing to their acquisitions. Julie is an active consultant and sits on the Advisory Board for several tech start-ups, she is considered a Silicon Valley insider, an icon, evangelist, and frequently sought after speaker within the social media and gaming space. Julie earned a Marketing degree from Illinois State University, a Master's Degree in Organizational Development from Illinois Benedictine University, and she was nominated as part of a select group invited to attend Columbia University's Prestigious Executive Education Program. She is a life-long educator and an Adjunct
    Business Professor teaching in the past at DeVry University and Illinois Benedictine University, and currently teaching Marketing Strategies for Entrepreneurs at UC Berkeley in the International Diploma Program.
