On March 13, 2003 SD Forum is hosting its 2nd Annual Web Services Seminar and Expo. Attendees of the program will have an opportunity to hear real-world examples of Web Services implementation successes and gain a better understanding of how organizations can best leverage new Web Services developments and innovations.
All the hype around Web Services has generated vast interest from developers, IT managers and business executives who want to see how the latest technology can impact development projects and deliver value to their organizations. This year’s Expo is dedicated to highlighting the progress that has been made in this exciting evolution by sharing the challenges that have occurred and lessons learned along the way.
The program will focus on real world solutions, highlighting results from actual companies that have implemented successful Web Services projects. Participants will hear from speakers around several categories of Web Services including Business-to-Business, Personal Productivity, Business to Consumer, Mobile Access, and EAI. Presentations will include discussions of the hot topics on everyone’s minds -- how standards are both helping and hindering Web Services progress, how Web Services can simplify integration tasks behind the firewall, what the 2003 and 2004 prospects are for the enterprise-wide uses of Web Services, and what is being done about security concerns. Highlighting the reality of these issues, a panel of CIOs from leading companies in a variety of industries will engage in interactive Q&A about how they managed their Web Services implementation and what they learned from the experience.
