If you are interested in hearing two entrepreneurs’ perspectives on raising VC funding, then this event is for you. Joining us will be Lynn LeBlanc of Fastscale Technologies and Alex Yoder of Veeker, two entrepreneurs who have recently raised funding. We anticipate an active dialogue amongst the panel and the audience in regards to topics such as:

Lynn LeBlanc, CEO and founder of FastScale Technology, has 25 years of enterprise software and technology experience at both Fortune 500 companies and Silicon Valley start-ups. With a proven track record of successfully bringing emerging technologies to market, a practical, hands-on style and strong operations experience, Lynn’s leadership delivers bottom line results. Her extensive career includes SVP and VP roles in general management, marketing and business development at industry leaders including Cadence Design Systems and Octel Communications as well as acquired start-ups iReady Corporation, ILEX Systems and Atherton Technology. Lynn also served at VP of Marketing and Business Development at Scyld Software and spent her early career at IBM Corporation.Marcus Yoder, Co-Founder, SVP, Operations of VeekerAs Senior Vice President of Operations, Marcus Yoder is responsible for Business Development, Customer Care, Finance and Human Resources. Marcus brings over fifteen years of strategy, business development, and operational experience to Veeker. Prior to Veeker Marcus founded Accelarus Consulting, focused on helping consumer software companies such as Pinnacle Systems, explore new markets and create relationships to gain market share in existing markets. As the head of Industry Marketing for Agile Software, Marcus was responsible for addressing the needs of Agile’s customers in seven industries by developing solutions to increase their product profitability. Prior to Agile, Marcus led business development efforts at Cupertino-based Oblix, Inc., acquired by Oracle. As Director of Business Alliances, he secured partnerships with Fortune 50 technology companies resulting in one-third of all company revenues. Prior to Oblix, Marcus was a Principal Consultant at PricewaterhouseCoopers, focused on business unit strategy for clients in the Consumer Electronics industry. Marcus holds an MBA in Finance and Marketing from the University of Chicago, and has extensive business experience in Germany, Brazil, and Asia.ModeratorShai Goldman, SVB CapitalShai Goldman co-manages SVB Capital's Venture Exchange program, which serves as a platform to provide quality referrals to venture firms and assist emerging companies in raising capital through strategic introductions to the right investors for their business. His responsibilities include identifying investment opportunities for SVB Capital Partners Fund and other venture capital firms. Goldman joined SVB Financial Group in December 2001. Prior to joining the Venture Exchange program in 2006, Goldman worked with SVB Private Client Services, providing personal financing solutions to entrepreneurs, investors and senior executives in the technology, life science, private equity and premium wine industries. Goldman holds a bachelor's degree in economics from Santa Clara University. Goldman is the co-chair of SDForum's Venture Finance SIG, a group dedicated to helping early-stage entrepreneurs prepare to meet with and attain funding from the venture capital community. Since 2004, Goldman has also been a mentor for BUILD, a non-profit organization committed to motivating underserved high school students to succeed in school and go onto higher education, by helping them start and run their own businesses.
