  • This month we'll have 4 consultants (HR, Legal, channel marketing, and sales-related marcom) who will devote their time to your questions (no powerpoint!). This event is open to startups and anyone who's been looking for some answers. Bring your questions and hear from a panel of experts!

    Sandra Glaser Cheek, Amazon Consulting (Marketing - partners & channels)
    Sandra brings over 17 years of experience in high technology sales, business development and channel marketing to her role as Director of Implementation Services at Amazon Consulting. Prior to Amazon Consulting, Sandra worked both as a staff member and consultant helping start-ups such as alladvantage.com (internet advertising), Netpost(software/middleware), Popstick (online marketing) & Six Apart (web 2.0 - blogging software) design partner sales campaigns, marketing programs, implementation strategies and plans for new and existing products. Earlier in her career, she directed Adobe's multi-tier reseller channel sales and marketing strategies and led the channel sales team to achieve 65% growth. Sandra holds a bachelors degree in Business Communication from Florida State University.

    Deb McClanahan, BroadBand HR Consulting (Human Resources)
    Deb McClanahan has owned her consulting practice, BroadBand HR for over 12 years. She focuses on start-ups in her business, but occasionally handles searches and other HR challenges from mid to larger sized organizations as well. She often works with biotech and medical device and equipment companies, in addition to high tech firms.

    Deb brings both a practical and a process focus to all of her work, having been trained as a systems engineer once upon a time. Deb spent the first part of her career in manufacturing at GM and then proceeded to other roles throughout the company, including extensive work with international start-ups under corporate umbrella. She worked inside VLSI Technology and Symantec in the Valley, as well as being a single digit employee number at WebVan, before starting her consulting practice.

    Laura Hardy-Thompson, Hardy-Thompson (Legal & IP)

    Deb Doyle, Stage2 Marketing (Marketing - sales-related marcom)
    Deb Doyle launched Stage2 Marketing in 2006 as a natural outgrowth of her 20+ years in advertising and marketing. She led highly successful teams at well-known advertising agencies such as McCann Erickson and Publicis & Hal Riney. Her clients included Sprint PCS, where she introduced the first US camera phone, Stanford Hospital & Clinics, where she created their first brand campaign and Applied Materials. As both an agency representative and a staff member, Deb acted as regional CMO for McDonald’s Restaurants in Arizona and California. Her markets consistently led the country in sales and profits by focusing on solving customer problems.   

    Stage2 transforms Deb’s core consumer marketing expertise into effective marketing plans for start-up and early stage companies such as BigFix, Chizam and Asqew Grill.
