    In the past we've had panels of women entrepreneurs and women VCs.  This month- we will look at another apprach women are increasingly using to successfully fund their ventures.- angel funding. Come hear a panel of women angel investors and some of the entrepreneurs they have helped talk about what works, what does not & how to succeed.  


    • Poornima Vijayashanker, CEO and Founder of BizeeBee, is a software engineer and entrepreneur. She was one of the first engineers at, a startup, which was acquired by Intuit. She graduated from Duke University with double major in Electrical and Computer Engineering and Computer Science. Poornima has been a devoted yogini for the past 6 years and competes in Bikram Yoga. Through consulting with local studios looking to improve their management practices, she decided to create BizeeBee
    • Deb Karstetter, Partner with The Angels Forum LLC & Founder, Executive nSight - As a partner in Angels Forum, Deb invests in seed and early stage businesses.  Deb is nationally recognized and a respected leader in the Employee Benefits industry with over 25 years in insurance brokerage, consulting and healthcare. She is currently Vice Chair of the Regional Medical Center of San Jose Board of Trustees. 

    Deb is also the founder of Executive nSight providing leadership and strategy development to entrepreneurs, corporate leadership teams, executives and board of directors.  She is a graduate of Purdue University and Wharton School of Business with executive education from Harvard Business School.

    • Susan Hailey, Director Global Executive Talent Acquisition at eBay and Member, Golden Seeds (network of women angel investors) - Susan leads Global Talent Acquisition for eBay Marketplaces. She manages a team of 80 recruiting professionals located in the US, Europe and Asia. From 2004 to 2008, Susan was the Vice President of Talent Acquisition for Caesars Entertainment, Inc. the world’s largest casino gaming company. Susan placed over 1500 executives, built Harrah’s executive management team and led succession planning, talent reviews, merger & acquisition integration and HRIS Talent systems. She launched the highly regarded MBA World Series of Poker and started the company’s first College Recruiting program.

      Formerly, Susan was the CEO of the Forum for Women Entrepreneurs and Executives (now called Watermark). Her executive background includes senior operating roles in consulting, marketing and business development with Egon Zehnder, IBM, Tandem, Openwave, Resumix and Verifone.

      Susan is an honors graduate of UC Berkeley and has an MBA from Harvard Business School.

    •  Natalie Fay, CEO of Turpitude & recipient of angel funding - Turpitude is a lean-and-mean independent game-development studio based in Walnut Creek, CA specializing in social and mobile games. Founded in 2008 as a game design consulting company, Turpitude provided creative leadership for top-tier clients like Disney, Zynga, and Playdom. Our small but fast-moving startup thrives on creating games that are fun, innovative, and "sticky." Our current titles include Wedding Street and Style Street.

      Natalie Fay is the CEO of Turpitude. She has 20 years of strategic business leadership experience in marketing, venture capital, and interactive entertainment. She holds an MBA and a special business Master's degree in educational technology.


    Jen Shelby has extensive marketing expertise and a track record in preparing companies for next-level growth.Possessing leadership skills that translate to a high-impact management style, Jen conceives and executes innovative go-to-market strategies. Jen has held a variety of positions ranging from Chief Marketing Officer at Betty Confidential to Vice President at P3M, and is founder of Signature Leadership, a consulting firm that positions companies to scale and accelerate growth by creating relationships and providing exceptional client management. Jen's extensive background in marketing and brand building as well as expertise in start-up strategies brings valuable insight and business skills to her clients
