    Web Services and Business Process Management

    Web Services will not transform your enterprise into something revolutionary, but it can be easier to work with in the long term. There are many aspects of Web Services that are interesting to note compared to prior art, yet this presentation focuses on the Business Process Management aspects of Web Services and how this will be implemented. Microsoft and IBM have been on the forefront of this area, and so the presentation focuses the presentation of their 2 BPM standards that they have implemented into their applications.



    This presentation briefly provides an overview of the history of business process management (BPM) solutions and web services evolution. By going over the components of the web services stack and how it relates to BPM. Followed by an overview of the 2 most common BPMs in use today (Microsoft and IBM) and some concluding remarks on how this area will mature.
