Wireless SIG: Handset Adoption Lessons and Plug-and-Say
...may teach us something about wireless application adoption and bringing cost-effective, no-hassle mobile access to enterprise data NOW!
Handset adoption lessons... may teach us something about wireless application adoption.
Cytaq creates solutions to automate the complicated tasks of enterprise system integration and Internet application development. Core to the product is a powerful modeling technology that unifies applications, databases, file systems, semi-structure information, XML, device logic, and other fragmented software into "resources". This uniformity is the foundation to automate the integration and management of disparate, wide-area information systems through the intranet, extranet, and Internet. Cytaq's mission is to integrate any resource, personalize for each user, and connect to any device.
Plug-and-Say: bringing cost-effective, no-hassle mobile access to enterprise data NOW.
Currently, mobile-enabling corporate data typically requires costly (and confusing) software and hardware integration, new hardware device investments, and/or per-user-based monthly fees to service providers. The handset also have caching issues of sensitive data with the (outside the firewall) service provider (i.e. WAP gateway). This creates a high barrier security breach for deployment of such intranet and extranet solutions for many companies.
We present a novel out-of-the-box server appliance approach to deployment barriers. Adomo's first product, the Adomo Mobile speech-based mobile access to corporate data that removes these Communication Server, installs in less than an hour behind the firewall and provides speech based mobile access to Microsoft Exchange messaging, calendaring, and contacts from an ordinary cell phone or desk phone. The approach extends to other messaging applications as well as other types of Enterprise applications such as CRM, SFA, and ERP.
