    Presentation Overview

VoiceXML 1.0 was designed to convey content via telephone; however the killer app of the phone has always been connectivity -- people calling people. In the telephony world, the term "call control" is used to describe actions around connectivity, including: call creation, call routing, call interaction, and call conferencing. The speaker will discuss and demonstrate the use of several call control markup languages, including CPL, CallXML, and recent work in the W3C to create a call control markup language.
