The Monthly Meeting of the SEM SIG
The Paradox of Excellence
Ever wonder how it is that:
- the better you do your job, the less your colleagues seem to value your contributions?
- the more problems you solve, the less the organization seems to remember why it hired you?
- the more hurdles you leap, the less senior management seems to remember that you leapt them, or that the hurdles ever existed?
- Ever wonder, "Why me?"
Dave Mosby is coauthor of The Paradox of Excellence: How Great Performance Can Kill Your Business. Here is an entire book on this exact challenge. It applies to the company you work for. It applies to you. Dave tells you how to fix it.
