    Speaker Bio

    Tom Spargo is co-founder and President of, Inc, a San Bruno based Internet portal for e-businesses interested in globalization. Prior to founding Geomarkets, Tom was a Y2K and e-business strategy consultant for the IBM Consulting Group where he worked with clients such as Pepsi, McDonald's, and Wal-Mart on minimizing IT risk and enhancing productivity through technology for international operations. In his earlier days at IBM, Tom worked in Japan in Marketing and Sales where he developed fluent Japanese and a deep understanding of the Japanese IT market. Tom holds a BS in Labor Relations from Cornell University and an MBA in High-Tech Marketing from UCLA. He is a published author and former columnist for J@pan Inc., Japan's leading English language e-business magazine. He has studied Mandarin and is a proficient speaker of Spanish having lived in Spain and Argentina. Tom can be reached by e-mail at
