    Presentation Overview

Shelley Taylor will preview findings from a study, Stay Tuned, the first international study of interactive TV viewer interface. This groundbreaking study is the first user interface research to identify the source of the disturbing new viewer disease: Mad Couch Disease. The research concludes that recently launched iTV services have led to a huge outbreak in viewer vertigo, couch separation anxiety, sleepless nights, destroyed remote controls and perpetual channel surfing ? symptoms caused by poor iTV user interface design. Expect a few surprises as Taylor reveals what works and what doesn't when she examines some of the most popular iTV channels and providers in the UK, US, France and Spain. Stay Tuned presents the critical benchmarks destined to become the defining success factors of interactive TV. In this study we challenge the efforts of the service providers and channels. By revealing their shortcomings she'll propose a road map for improvements in iTV user-interface, the key to monetising content and capturing viewers.
