    Presentation Overview

The Localisation Industry Standards Association (LISA)
For the past ten years LISA members have been at the forefront of multicultural and multilingual communications management. Initially they were involved in helping to define best practices and production models for the design, localization and distribution of international software products. Today LISA, through it international forums, management workshops and media events, introduces companies to the knowledge, skills and technologies enabling them to develop global product, web support and enterprise strategies.

Founded in 1990 in Switzerland as a private, non-profit association, LISA is the only global trade association dedicated to enterprise globalization and multilingual communications management. The association is mandated to facilitate an open exchange of ideas amongst all industry sectors. It currently unites over 215 corporate members representing the leading International Web-site Developers, B2B and eCompanies to improve business practices and global e-Commerce. The administration provides industry and company investment data, Newsletters, Web Site Globalization Techniques, Localization Quality Assurance Guidelines, and Worldwide Conference and Training Programs.
