    Presentation Overview

Show Me the Money – Innovative Mobile Payment Companies

Wireless monetary transactions are common in some countries, such as Japan, where subway riders can pay with a wave of a cell phone instead of tokens, but the market is in its infancy in the United States. However, according to a VISA study, 57 percent of U.S. consumers are interested in using the cell phones for purchases.

We’ve invited two companies providing innovative mobile payment solutions. INSIDE offers Near Field Communication (NFC) chips that facilitate contactless payments at the point of sales, while aKos Technology enables cash remittances from US to Latin America, thousands of miles away. Both companies will talk about the forces driving their market, the challenges they face, and how their solutions fit into the picture.
