    Presentation Overview

Two Presentations: Leading Industry Publishers Outlook

After a rejuvenating hiatus, The SDForum - Mobile IP SIG (formerly know as MultiModal SIG) is back, and has a new location in Palo Alto. Please join us for an exciting “Future Oriented” evening about the International mobile landscape. Two industry publications: The Red Herring, Inc. and… where we get ‘the gravel & black dirt’ from, the edgy newsletter, TechDirt.com.

Each speaker will present their vision of the mobile/wireless industry for the future. Just connecting to the network is no longer enough. In today’s chaotic, interconnected environment, success requires the ability to identify key relationships. New industry ecosystems are developing, while new forms of innovation emerge on top of connected platforms.

In this session, we will examine how entrepreneurs, mobile operators, investors, and other companies are evolving to take advantage of this complexity.

Power to the people • from search to eternity • business implications of virtual worlds • web 2.0 meets the enterprise • community marketing • cutting the cords: the future of telecom • the Net is alive • rise of the videonet • the future of the console – handset - TV • who owns "you" • rethinking intellectual property • the next five billion users • and more...
